Terms of Service
Straightforward terms for hosting and related services provided by Web Secured Hosting Canada.
Last updated: August 27, 2026.
Services
These terms apply to hosting, domain, email, website care and related services purchased from Web Secured Hosting Canada. Specific quotes, invoices or service descriptions may add terms for a particular project or account.
Customer ownership
Your website content, business content and customer-supplied materials remain yours. Providing hosting or maintenance does not transfer ownership of your website content to Web Secured Hosting Canada. Third-party software, themes, plugins, fonts and licensed materials remain subject to their respective licences.
Payment and renewal
Services are billed according to the term shown on the order or invoice. Recurring services may renew until cancelled. Customers are responsible for keeping account and billing information current. Overdue services may be suspended after reasonable notice where practical.
Domains
Domain registrations and renewals are subject to registry, registrar and ICANN rules where applicable. Domain fees may be non-refundable once a registration or renewal has been submitted. Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate registrant information and renewing domains on time unless renewal is managed through us.
Backups
We maintain backups as described in the applicable hosting plan, but backups are a recovery service rather than permanent file storage. Customers should retain independent copies of business-critical information where appropriate. We cannot guarantee that every historical version of every file will always be recoverable.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect our systems and may block traffic, suspend vulnerable software, disable compromised accounts or take other steps necessary to protect the server and other customers. Customers are responsible for safeguarding passwords and notifying us promptly if they suspect unauthorized access.
Resource use
Hosting plans are intended for normal websites and business email associated with the hosted account. Activity that materially degrades server performance, consumes excessive resources or jeopardizes other customers may require optimization, an upgraded service or suspension. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms.
Cancellations
You may request cancellation of recurring hosting services. Domain registrations, third-party licences and work already performed may not be refundable. Any refund offered will be subject to the applicable service, invoice and circumstances.
Limitation of service
Internet services can experience outages, third-party failures, software defects and events outside our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain and restore services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every software application will remain compatible indefinitely.
Changes
We may update these terms as our services, suppliers or legal requirements change. The current version posted on web-hosting.ca applies to continued use of the services after an update.
